Who attends?

We aim to provide opportunities and help with contact between industry and academic circles. We would like to attract students and young people interested in technology to contemporary operating systems projects, allow for direct contact with experienced programmers and system administrators.

meetBSD participants are people most often aware of and interested in UNIX derived technologies, directly involved with this environment, such as network and system admins, security officers, programmers, support engineers, consultants, researchers or hobbyists.

Why attend?

Positive feedback from past editions and a lot of interest we have received, are important obligation to keep the high standards during upcoming events. meetBSD is the place where you get to know new technologies, innovative ideas are born and collaboration contacts established, which can turn into real development projects.

meetBSD is also a great fun and company of other attendants at the social level. It is a conference tradition to have some non-official part in the evenings, when all participants gather, chat and enjoy the time outside of the conference venue, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

This year

Afer the special California 2008 edition (hosting the FreeBSD Project 15th anniversary), meetBSD 2009 Wintercamp in Livigno, this year we are back with meetBSD conference to Kraków, Poland, a beautiful city and one of the major and biggest academic centers in Europe.

We greatly welcome everybody to attend and support the meetBSD conference!
